Initial prices are indicative, not final. Actual cost depends on fabric construction, GSM, quantity, colour, printing, finishing, specifications and other processing requirements. As the scope becomes clearer, we can refine the estimate and provide a more accurate quotation.

A photograph does not reveal all the variables that determine manufacturing cost, such as construction, GSM, fibre composition, width, colour, print technique, number of colours, repeat, finishing, quantity and testing requirements.

Many textile processes involve fixed development, setup, screen, dyeing, finishing and processing costs. When these costs are spread over fewer metres, the cost per metre increases. Larger quantities generally allow these costs to be distributed more efficiently.

Differences in yarn quality, weaving consistency, contamination control, defect levels, processing and finishing can affect the final fabric and its price. Our objective is to provide the most appropriate value for the customer’s expectations and application rather than simply the lowest price.

Even when the quantity is small, many of the same preparation and processing costs still apply.

When these costs are distributed over a smaller number of metres, the cost per metre naturally becomes higher.

As the quantity increases, these relatively fixed costs can be distributed across more metres, making the production economics more efficient.

In mill dyeing, even a small quantity requires much of the same preparation and processing involved in bulk production. Machinery, labour, colour preparation, chemical processing, washing, fixing and machine setup are required regardless of whether the machine is running at full capacity or only a small fraction of it.

When a small quantity is processed, these relatively fixed costs are distributed over fewer metres, resulting in a higher cost per metre. As the quantity increases, the same costs are distributed across a larger production volume and the unit cost reduces substantially.

Yes, where operationally practical. The suitable quantity depends on the fabric, construction, GSM, process, colour, printing and finishing requirements. We assess each requirement individually rather than applying one rigid MOQ to every fabric.

Maintaining ready stock across every possible combination would neither be practical nor particularly useful for a development-focused manufacturer.

A very small cutting may indicate colour or surface appearance, but it may not properly represent hand feel, drape, construction, print repeat or overall fabric behaviour. Where appropriate, we therefore prefer meaningful sampling.

A photograph or tiny cutting cannot always communicate fabric weight, texture, drape, construction and hand feel accurately. Meaningful sampling allows the fabric to be evaluated more realistically before making a production decision.

Yes. When visiting the Design Studio is not convenient, we can arrange a scheduled WhatsApp video walkthrough of our current sampling collection.
However, fabric is a tactile product. Screen images and video cannot fully reproduce colour, texture or hand feel. Where the decision is critical, physical evaluation remains preferable.

No. Digital images and video can alter the perception of colour, texture and appearance, and cannot reproduce hand feel or drape. For critical decisions, physical evaluation remains preferable.

Custom development and small-quantity sampling can involve additional processing costs. Where applicable, if you proceed with an order for the developed product within the specified period, the applicable sampling upcharge can be fully adjusted against the order.

Yes. Bespoke development is available when you have something specific in mind, when an existing fabric is not quite right, or when you want to recreate or reinterpret a particular textile effect.

Yes. A fabric sample, photograph, garment, product or even an idea can be a useful starting point. We study the reference and assess how its character can be practically developed.

We can often recreate, reinterpret or approximate the character of a reference textile, but an exact reproduction cannot always be guaranteed. The original yarn, construction, recipe, finishing process and manufacturing conditions may not be available.

The achievable similarity depends on the physical reference and information available, together with factors such as construction, weight, colour, surface, print and finishing requirements.

No. If you already have an approved fabric and a clear production specification, you can approach us directly for production. Development is an option when something needs to be created, modified or refined.

A photograph can provide a useful visual reference, but it is not a reliable physical colour standard. Lighting, camera settings, display screens and surrounding colours can affect the perceived shade. For important colour matching, we prefer a physical colour reference or agreed standard.

We work through trials and adjustments to achieve the closest practical match to the required colour, taking into account the fabric and dyeing process involved

Minor variation can occur because textile dyeing is influenced by fibre characteristics, fabric absorbency, processing conditions, batch size and other variables. For colour-critical requirements, an appropriate physical standard and approval procedure should be agreed before bulk production.

Surface Padding can be a more economical route for certain visual or mock developments, while Mill Dyeing may be more appropriate when closer colour accuracy and production-level representation are required. The appropriate route depends on what you need to evaluate.

Textile dyeing is a process influenced by fibre characteristics, fabric absorbency, processing conditions, batch size and other variables. Minor variation can therefore occur between laboratory development, sample and bulk production

Our capabilities include pigment printing, screen printing, Palla/engineered placement printing, running/all-over printing and digital printing for prototypes, depending on the fabric and requirement.

It is particularly suited to placement designs, logos, garment panels, T-shirt graphics and other strategically positioned artwork rather than continuous printing across the fabric.

It is continuous printing across the fabric width and length, generally used for repeating or overall designs.

Digital printing is not automatically the better choice simply because it is digital. Depending on the artwork, colours, fabric, quantity and desired appearance, screen printing may provide a better technical or commercial result.

Neither process is universally better. Screen printing can be advantageous for defined colour areas, strong dedicated colours and suitable quantities, while digital printing can be useful for complex artwork, photographic imagery, multiple colours and rapid prototyping. The right choice depends on the design, fabric, quantity, appearance and commercial objective.

Like every textile printing process, screen printing has its own technical characteristics and limitations. Factors such as registration, repeat alignment, artwork complexity, fabric, screen joints, overlappings and process conditions need to be considered. We assess these factors during development and work towards the most commercially practical result.
