Where Textile Ideas Begin
Our Design Studio brings together an extensive and constantly evolving collection of fabrics and textiles, developed in assorted weights, constructions, textures, prints, colours, mill-dyed solids, washes, coatings, finishes and surface effects. The collection is regularly refreshed with new developments inspired by market trends, forecasts, emerging colours, textures and product directions, along with ideas developed through our own textile experience.
These developments are intended to provide useful starting points for sampling, product development and prototypes.
As a Design Studio, we prefer to develop fabrics in smaller runs and keep introducing new ideas, rather than maintain a large, fixed stock collection. Consequently, availability may vary from time to time and depends on the fabrics currently held in our studio. If you find something suitable that is no longer available, we can often recreate or develop it again based on your requirement and order quantity.
We warmly invite our clients to visit our studio and explore the collection in person. However, we understand that distance and busy schedules may sometimes make a visit difficult. In such cases, we are happy to arrange a virtual selection through a scheduled video meeting, allowing you to conveniently view, discuss and select fabrics from your office.
What We Bring to the Table
01 — Textile Understanding
Our approach is grounded in practical knowledge of woven fabrics, their constructions, weights, characteristics and applications.
We consider how yarn, weave, GSM, construction and processing influence the final fabric—not just its appearance.
02 — Colour & Visual Direction
Colour can change the entire character of a fabric. We help explore suitable colours, tonal variations, depths and visual effects according to the product, design direction and overall requirement. Where a specific colour is required, we work through trials and adjustments to achieve the closest practical match.
03 — Prints, Patterns & Surface Effects
From simple prints to distinctive surface treatments, we explore different ways of creating the desired visual character.
Our capabilities include pigment printing, screen printing, digital prototyping and specialised print effects, depending on the requirement.
04 — Texture, Feel & Character
Sometimes the requirement is not simply for a particular colour or print—it is for a certain look and feel.
We can explore washing, finishing, coating, waxing, distressing and other suitable treatments to create specific surface characteristics and textile effects.
05 — Reference-Based Development
Have you seen a fabric somewhere and want something similar?
You can bring us a fabric sample, garment, photograph or product reference, and we can study its character and explore how it may be recreated or interpreted using a suitable fabric and process. The objective is not to promise an exact copy, but to find the closest practical and commercially workable solution.
06 — From Concept to Manufacturable Fabric
A design may look excellent as an idea but still need to be practical to manufacture.
We consider fabric construction, processing, quantity, consistency, finishing and cost while developing a solution, helping bridge the gap between an interesting idea and a fabric that can actually be produced.
One of the advantages of having design understanding alongside manufacturing capability is that ideas can be considered from both perspectives.
We don’t look only at: “Can it be designed?”
We also ask:
“Can it be produced consistently?”
“What quantity makes sense?”
“What process will achieve the desired result?”
“What will it mean for the final cost?”
This helps keep textile development connected to the realities of production.
The fabrics available in our studio are based on our understanding of current and emerging requirements and are intended as practical starting points. Where you have a more specific requirement, these fabrics can often be further developed or customised in terms of weight, thickness, colour, construction, texture, print, wash, coating or finish.
We see our Design Studio not simply as a collection of fabrics, but as a place to explore ideas, discover possibilities and find a starting point for your next textile development.
